Last year, I had this idea while talking to a friend. In today’s digital world, most of our conversations happen through instant messaging—quick, fleeting exchanges that come and go without leaving much of a trace.
So I thought: What if we could use something like an iPad to write real letters? A way to share thoughts and feelings with loved ones, creating something meaningful to look back on later.
My friend loved the concept, so I dove right into designing and building it. Three weeks later, the first working version was ready. We started sending letters to each other—she even drew beautiful sketches in hers. As we used it, I kept refining the app. After 16 iterations, I submitted it to the App Store on November 15, 2024.
After a few rejections and tweaks, it finally went live on December 11.
Later, to spread the word, I launched it on ProductHunt—and it hit #3 that day. It was amazing to see how many people still appreciate handwritten letters.
Now, as of July 3, 2025, the app’s on its 40th update. I’m still fine-tuning things to make the experience even better.
